Initiatives
Creating Lasting Change, One Initiative at a Time
At Saving Our People, we believe that meaningful change starts with targeted action. That’s why we’ve developed four key initiatives that directly address the root causes of healthcare disparities in our communities. Each program is designed to educate, empower, and elevate—offering culturally relevant solutions to the real challenges our people face every day. From inspiring future healthcare leaders to tackling chronic illness and maternal mortality, we are on the frontlines of equity, awareness, and healing.
Lift As We Climb Initiative
We are dedicated to addressing healthcare disparities by inspiring and empowering future generations—particularly within the African American community—to pursue meaningful careers in nursing.
Mental Health initiative
promote well-being, prevent mental health conditions, and support individuals and communities affected by mental health challenges.
Chronic disease initiative
to address and reduce the burden of chronic diseases like heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.
Maternal Mortality Initiative-
Educate the community about the risk factors contributing to maternal mortality and provide guidance on effectively managing those risks.
